AEC is a well-established SME with offices in Essex and Manchester. We have been around for 28 years, employing over 140 staff, and achieved a turnover of £9.6 million last year.
We provide specialist health and safety compliance services to organisations across the UK and worldwide. Our core services include asbestos surveys, air testing, sample analysis, Legionella risk assessments, water hygiene services, occupational hygiene services and fire risk assessments.
The Opportunity
Due to an internal relocation, we are pleased to offer a rare opportunity to join our growing team at our Mountnessing office.
Reporting to the Senior Operations Manager, the Senior Resource Planner will lead a small team of two planners and play a key role in ensuring our operational teams are effectively scheduled and supported.
The Role
This is a fast-paced role at the heart of our operations. You will be responsible for coordinating work for our site-based teams, ensuring staff are assigned to projects aligned with their training, qualifications and availability. You will also ensure that surveyors and technicians have the correct equipment and resources required to deliver services safely and effectively for our cherished clients.

Our Essex office has a growing team of surveyors, consultants and technicians, and you will play a key role in ensuring they are effectively deployed to support our clients.
The office is welcoming, supportive and inclusive. Our site-based teams maintain a close working relationship with our office support staff, and this harmonious combination has helped the office double in size over the past 18 months — with continued growth expected.
What We’re Looking For
You will enjoy coordinating projects, bringing plans to life, and ensuring teams are deployed efficiently across a variety of public and private sector projects.
This is a dynamic position where no two days are the same.
Training and Development
Your induction will take place at our Manchester office, where you will meet colleagues performing similar roles and gain a full understanding of how our operations work.
Full training on our systems is a given, and you will have the opportunity to shadow site teams, gaining first-hand insight into the work you will be planning. Followed by ongoing support to help you succeed in this varied and rewarding role
