As a technical sales consultant you will be out in the field building relationships across many diverse sectors to promote our Legionella and Asbestos compliance services.  If you are motivated to drive growth and manage accounts and adept at learning technical information, AEC can provide top training, a salary of up to £38,000 + uncapped commission, and company car.

An exciting opportunity has opened up within our dynamic Essex office for a Technical Sales Consultant in our commercial team. We are expanding and seeking a motivated individual to join us.

Training and Development
We provide a comprehensive training program, including mentoring, on-the-job training, and classroom/site experience.

Focus Areas
Your efforts will be concentrated on the Asbestos and Legionella Services. AEC is a leading consultant in these fields.

Role Overview
As a Technical Sales Consultant, you will:

  • Develop New Business: Identify and pursue new business opportunities in the Asbestos and Legionella sectors, supported by targeted marketing campaigns.
  • Manage Existing Accounts: Cultivate and expand relationships with AEC’s current clients in these sectors, introducing innovative ideas and approaches.
  • Collaborate with the Team: Leverage marketing, technical expertise, and support from colleagues in the commercial department.
  • Training and System Proficiency: Receive full training on our systems and ongoing technical knowledge development through formal training opportunities and field observations.

You will be responsible for scheduling your appointments, with administrative and managerial support to manage your diary effectively. This includes the preparation and handover of project information.

Required Skills and Experience

  • Proven sales experience with a track record of new business acquisition.
  • Proactive, driven, with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Professional presentation and friendly demeanor.
  • Strong administrative and IT skills (MS Office, including Excel).
  • Experience with CRM systems is a plus.
  • Full UK Driving Licence.
  • Willingness to travel across the UK to client sites.
