AEC is growing fast, and we’re looking for a Trainee Contract Sales Consultant to join our team at Trafford Park. If you’ve got sales experience and a hunger for success, this is your chance to step up with full training provided.
You’ll support our Contracts Manager on key commercial projects, while managing and developing contracts with new and existing clients. This role is all about spotting opportunities, closing deals, and driving growth.
We are looking for someone with proven sales skills—no asbestos experience needed—who’s passionate about building strong client relationships and smashing targets.
Experience in industries like construction or facilities management is a bonus, but not essential.

Responsibilities
- To develop the existing clients in the service area of asbestos consultancy
- Drive increased project management, air monitoring consultancy and develop long term relationships with asbestos removal contractors
- To bring in new business for asbestos within a specific market sector
- To chase repeat business and achieve further works
- Attend client sites in order to provide detailed, accurate quotes and specifications of work
- Build strong relationships with clients to fully understand their needs
- Attend site visits with the Surveyors, Analysts and Project Managers to gain an understanding of the technical work to be quoted
- Work with AEC’s marketing department on new campaigns in order to increase business
- Effectively use AEC’s CRM system to manage pipeline and customer engagement
Skill Set
- Proven sales experience and results
- Proven experience bringing in new business is desirable; we can teach you everything within the building compliance area that you need to know!
- Ability to make decisions
- Proactive and driven approach
- Great interpersonal and communication skills
- Smart personal presentation and friendly manner
- Sound administration and IT skills – MS Office, including Excel
- Experience using CRM systems
- Full UK Driving Licence
- Flexibility to travel to client sites across the UK
