Payment terms

Our standard payment terms are that your booking must be secured by payment of a non-refundable deposit at time of booking your course. Course fees are required to be paid 4 weeks in advance of the course.

AEC reserves the right to cancel your training if payment is not made in full prior to the course taking place.

Course Bookings

Bookings may be made online, by email, letter or phone. All bookings must be confirmed by the completion of our formal booking form. Please provide your purchase order number and copy of purchase order.

Please note: Bookings will not be considered without a signature at the bottom of the booking form or acceptance of terms and conditions if booked online.

For remote training course bookings, your email address provided will be used to send the invite via Microsoft Teams and you consent to your email address being used.

Transfers

Should circumstances require you to change the date of your course, the following charges will apply, dependent on notice given:

  • More than four weeks’ notice – £50 admin fee will be charged
  • Two to four weeks’ notice – exam fee will be charged if applicable or 20% of course fee
  • Less than two weeks’ notice – 50% of course fee, plus exam fee will be charged

NB: Transfers must be made in writing and received within the correct time frame to avoid any charges. All transfers must be taken within a period of 3 months of original course date.

Cancellations

Should circumstances require you to cancel a course and you are unable to transfer to another date or another candidate, the following charges will apply, dependent on notice given: 

  • More than four weeks’ notice – non-refundable exam fee if applicable or 20% of course fee will be taken
  • Less than four weeks’ notice – full fee will be charged

Using your personal information

We need to obtain and hold personal information about you so that we can:

  • Provide pre-course information and joining instructions
    • Inform you about your examination results in writing if you require us to.
    • Contact you if we need to discuss your course/examinations.
    • Maintain a unique record of all your examination results.
    • Carry out surveys and statistical analysis relating to the training and qualifications.

Sharing your personal information

Your examinations may be marked by individuals working on behalf of awarding bodies. We obtain and hold your results, and comments about your examination performance, from the markers. The markers will only have access to your name, and no other personal information.

Access to your information

You have the right to request a copy of the personal information that we hold about you. Under current legislation, this does not include your examination script.

The right to withdraw consent

You have the right to withdraw consent and to unsubscribe from mailing lists at any time, by contacting [email protected]. This does not include your qualification result, as we are legally obliged to retain this data.
