AEC is getting behind the Widnes Vikings women’s rugby league team with sponsorship of their match day kits.

The funding supports the club to provide training and match day facilities to allow the team to develop and play their beloved game. Home is the impressive DCBL stadium, Halton where the team play in league 1.

We’ll keep you updated about their progress, but if you can’t wait, you can watch the live action this Sunday 24th March at their next home game. Tickets can be purchased from the club shop or online. You can also check their fixture dates and results here.

It just leaves us to say “Come on you Vikings!”

AEC are proud to give back to the community and each year our staff choose a charity in which to raise money for. The charity committee develop a programme of events and set a fundraising target which AEC match £1 for £1 at the end of the year.

For 2019, AEC are delighted to be raising money for Buddy’s Children with Autism.

About Buddy’s

Buddy’s are a local charity based in Bury, Manchester whose aim is to inspire hope and contribute to the health and wellbeing of children and adults with Autism; by providing the best support through friendship and education

Autism is a lifelong, developmental condition that affects how a person communicates with and relates to other people, and how they experience the world around them.

Approximately 700,000 people in the UK experience Autism that is 1% of the population. Buddy’s provides a full range of activities and support services that encompass the whole family such as a charity shop, sensory changing rooms, safe spaces, daily living skills and support groups.

In 2018, Buddy’s purchased a caravan in Lancashire to provide young people and their families much needed respite care. In order for the caravan to be fit for purpose and a place to be enjoyed, it needs to be installed with safety and disability access, customized sensory equipment, a sensory garden and disability aids.

AEC would like to raise £2,000 this year through a variety of fundraising events and activites such as:
