I appreciate the prompt and effective handling of any queries or requests I have made, from completing forms for my University to helping me with potential career options, reflecting AEC’s commitment to understanding the objectives of a placement year. Undoubtedly, this experience has significantly enhanced my employability and made my year of working away genuinely enjoyable.

During my time at AEC, I always felt like a valued member of the team. All of the people I had the pleasure to work with treated me with the upmost respect and helped guide me through tasks I found challenging. I can’t thank AEC enough for the brilliant placement opportunity.

I really enjoyed the time I spent at AEC and worked for the business over a number of summer placements within the accounts, technical admin team and bid department whilst studying for my master’s in biology.  The staff are welcoming, friendly and motivated people who will help guide you to be the best you can be.  I would highly recommend working at AEC, you will get to do fun and interesting work, whilst gaining valuable skills and experiences for the future.

AEC, since the start of my placement, provided me with vast experience related to how the asbestos industry works and giving me support and opportunities that no other company could give me and making me feel part of the team of the permanent staff. With qualifications such as p402 and transferrable skills training like confined space training and MEWP. The company provided me with a path towards my construction industry career.

From start to finish, I’ve felt like a valued member of the team as if I were a permanent member of staff. Hence, they’ve given the opportunity to gain specific practical skills such as MEWP, confined space training and further qualifications (P402). Not many undergrads will have these to put on their CV!  AEC have understood what is intended from a placement year and without doubt developed my employability and given me a genuinely fun year working away.
