On December 20th, AEC’s Director Mandy Reid was pleased to present a cheque to Buddy’s for £3,600 following the hard work from everyone at AEC on their fundraising efforts.
Jane and Helen (the charities founders) were absolutely delighted to receive the cheque and have said they will be able to put this money to good use ensuring rewarding treats for the children. whilst providing parents much needed respite. AEC’s fundraising efforts throughout the year included a weekly bake-off event (back my popular demand following 2018’s successful event), a charity raffle at our Christmas party and a 5KM swim around Cholmondeley Castle.
The money raised for 2019’s charity adds to a total of £43,000 raised for various charities over the last few years including Blossom’s Legacy (swim skills for young children), Medical Detection Dogs, Essex & Herts Air Ambulance Trust, The Christie Charity and Help for Heroes to name a few.
Thank you to everyone who has contributed this year in one way or another – it will make a real difference to the families involved with Buddy’s.
