AEC raises over £5000

Blossom's legacy
December 17th, 2018

AEC staff have spent 2018 taking part in a variety of fundraising events such as Triathalon to Bakeoffs in a bid to raise as much money as possible for Blossom’s Legacy.

On 17 December, AEC’s Director Mandy Reid was delighted to present a cheque to Blossom’s for £5308 to celebrate all the hard work and effort put in by everyone.

Blossom’s bakeoff was a particularly successful event and throughly enjoyed by all the staff (who doesnt love cake for 29 weeks of the year!) 29 bakers competed for 29 weeks and created sweet and savoury treats to raise as much money as they could and to fight for the title of ‘Star Baker’

If there is one thing Blossom loved, it was cakes. Particularly the icing, she would always be found at any party or get together taking the toppings and leaving the sponge. So it was very fitting that AEC dedicated so much time and effort in to Blossom’s Bake Off. We’ve been really impressed by the bakers’ efforts and the fantastic achievement by everyone involved!  Our water safety programmes for young children rely on fundraising to enable families to take part during the summer holidays. Without the support the AEC and their staff this simply would not be possible. We’re delighted that we’ll be able to run the scheme again throughout 2019 and would like to thank everyone at AEC for their fundraising efforts.”

Kris and Vicky Kelly, Blossom’s founders
