Salford Triathlon

On Sunday 29th July, AEC staff competed in the Salford triathlon to raise money for our nominated charity Blossom’s Legacy.

Our triathletes battled the wind and rain to accomplish personal bests and some made their first event debut! It was a great event and thank you to everyone who came to support the team and for all of the donations we have received so far.

Team times were

• Cath Holmes – Finish time 1.43hrs, 211 place out of 310
• Craig Auty – Finish time 1.46hrs, 227 place out of 310
• AEC Trio – Finish time 3.35 hrs, 354 place out of 390
• No nuts just guts – Finish time 2.06 hrs, 295 place out of 310
• Splash, Flash and Dash Finish time 3.09 hrs, 354 place out of 390
• Team upstairs at 27 – Finish time 3.38 hrs, 358 place out of 390

Blossom’s Legacy, a registered charity that has been set up in the memory of a beautiful little girl Blossom Iris Kelly. The charity has been formed to raise funds to educate, encourage and embody children with the skills and tools to allow them to be able to learn to swim from a very early age.
